Inspired but too tired.

After a tough break up at the end of last year I noticed I was spending way too much time on social media to distract myself. I ended up taking a two week long break off of social media and found more healthy ways to cope and healthier ways of expressing myself. Best part of it all was it got me to start getting back into things I used to love doing but somehow forgot about in the past few years. One of those things being painting. Although I am back on social media I am making sure to make time for creative things such as painting or photgraphy when I am stressed or upset. Creativity and art can help heal the biggest and most painful wounds.

This is my groups visual of the shape of the story we read in class titled "Exploring the Literate Trajectories of Youth Across Time and Space" by Maisha T. Winn. We drew the stories in the shape of a school house because it was primarly about "at risk children" in schools and how they are being taught and tools they need to grow confidence and expand their knowledge. Starts with a foundation in the students themselves building themselves from the ground up like building a house or in this case a school. We added a chimney to represent the getting rid of old and outdated idea's about children who are "at risk" or misunderstood and put into a box.
Who doesn't love a good pun?
