What goes into good teaching?

I think there are many facters that make a good teacher. Looking back at my teachers, the things I valued were engagement with students, transparency, easy to contact, helpful and understanding, organized, and clear. It's important to understand that not everyone works or learns at the same speed, so teachers that can accomodate to their students are good. In my experience someone I am afraid of is not a good teacher because it becomes hard to respect and talk to them. If I feel like I am being respected and valued by a teacher I will be more inclined to learn from them.

The online community I choose was youtube, more specifcally a video on how to better budget your money. The video provided people with information on how to better save money. It provided tips, things to stay away from, and what you might be doing wrong. The video description also provided links to online classrooms and virtual teachers who are knowledgble and qualified to help people better manage their money. Anyone can click on the links and join as they are free. The comment section also allows for people to post their responses and questions. It allows for people to communicate and share ideas. Youtube is free and can be accessed without an account no matter your age. However if you wish to post videos and interact with people you need to make an account but it's free as well. You can search for a million different things on this platform, either for educational or entertainment purposes. The feedback from this video shows responses from many different people. Students, adults, and advisers all seemed to find the video useful and to their advantage. This platform does a great job at connecting people from all over the world, different ages, and backgrounds. Since anyone is allowed to access this video, it may help people make better financial decions in the future. If they struggled with any part of the video they can simply ask a question in the comments and then anyone can respond. Since there are few to none restrictions on posting videos and commenting, it allows people to share anything they wish to be important. It can be easy to believe anything you read but you have to know that not everyone posting on this platform is credible for what they are saying. Youtube is overall a great place to share ideas, creativetly, and adivce. However, when it comes to social media and tech services you should always make sure if you are going to take someone else's advice that they are credible.
How reflection drives learning in a connected space

Reflection helps learning in a connected space in many ways. A connected space brings people and their ideas together. It builds relationships between people through shared interests. Reflection helps people look back and find solutions to their questions, so if you are in a connected space that will help others who share the same questions. While working with others you obtain new information and opportunites. If you were to reflect on this you could build on what you already know. A connected space requires everyone to contribute. If they aren't reflecting on their own questions and or knowledge it is hard to fuel discussion. Reflection can influence people to evalutate their choices. It makes you think about why you did what you did, what was happening in a learning environment, and helps you develop questions about activites and practices. Reflection also helps learning in a connected space because it helps you evaluate people's behaviors. The way people say and do things can be a result of many things like their friends/family, living situation, background, and jobs. It's important to know why people do what they do so you can better understand them. It helps you make stronger connections with people when you find out more about them and their interests. Take a class for example, teachers have students reflect on their previous work so they can improve on their next assignments. Some teachers even have students reflect on their lives so they can write about topics they actually relate to.
Learning update #3

Recently, I saw that my friend had a piggy bank where she kept all of her tips and cash she had lying around. She opened it recently and managed to save a lot of money. I decided to do the same thing and so far it's going well. I tend to spend cash if I have it but by doing this I save. Overall, these changes in my saving and spending have got me on the right track for when life picks up again. I plan to continue to do all of these things so I don't fall into a rut again.
